I know that this is super early, but you need time to find and watch them right? ;). Seeing as October starts tomorrow, I thought I would get this out as early as possible so you have time to enjoy them as much as I do :) Lets begin shall we? :)
FRANKENWEENIE

I love this film so much! Its one of my favourites, yes it isn't a classic, but its still amazing! If you loved films like ''Corpse Bride' or 'Coraline' (also made by Tim Burton) then you'll love this, the whole film is in black and white, and is a modern take on the 'Frankenstein' classic. Its family friendly with some ups and downs along the way, its got the right hint of weirdness for it to be a Halloween movie, but it can also be watched all year round if you like :)
THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW

If you thought 'Frankenweenie' was weird, that was nothing in comparison to this film. Well, I say its a film, its more of a musical, but it too has a subtle reference to the famous Frankenstein blockbuster, the 'monster' being 'Rocky'. I won't give too much away, but basically, a couple's car loses a tyre and they call on the closest house for help... after they're let in to use the phone, they soon realise that it wasn't such a good idea. Tim Curry plays the main part and he is absolutely fantastic in the role, as if it was made for him, all the actors give a stunning performance, its a real show stopper, a musical, that if you would to see in a theatre (a play), you would have an absolute blast, I highly recommend it, even if you aren't into musicals :)
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Another Tim Burton classic, this one is a must-see at Halloween, you could even watch it at Christmas as well, two seasons wrapped up into one, with a spine tingling soundtrack, some spectacular voice acting, and haunting animation, its the perfect recipe for a scarily enjoyable Halloween-film experience, with the great Tim Burton as the director, sit back, relax (for a while...lets face it, for a TB film its going to get weird), grab some trick-or-treating sweets and have an amazing viewing experience.
HALLOWEEN

Yes, its a typical horror film, but Halloween wouldn't be Halloween without 'Halloween' ;). If you like suspense and gore, regardless of how well made the film is, you'll thoroughly enjoy this one. Yes, its very predictable and highly unlikely to occur in real life, but for an hour or two, it really sets your heart racing.
MONSTER HOUSE

Yes, its a child's film, but its got a fantastic cast and an original story line, its not too scary so small children can give it a watch as well, so its very much a family film, its also full of innuendos and hidden jokes for the older viewers, but its also comical for the children as well, after every scary bit, a funny scene plays shortly after, making it a light hearted film for everyone, whether it be a two year old child or a 98 year old grandma or granddad, its an amazing tale of twists and turns, some more sinister than others, its a whirlwind of action, and with its use of motion capture technology, the animation is as life like as ever (even if it was made in 2006), its worth a watch for sure!
I hope you enjoyed this post, do you have any Halloween films you think I should watch? Leave them in the comment section below and I will check them out! See you Sunday guys and gals :)
