How to Love Mondays

Mondays aren't the easiest of days. In fact, Monday is probably the most hated day of the week (apart from a Tuesday...I personally don't like Tuesdays too much!). So what if I told you there are a few simple ways to help you fall in love with them instead? That's what I'll be trying to do in today's post, I hope you enjoy :)

Sow the Seeds on Sunday

It all starts the night before. The reason why people don't like Mondays is because they aren't 100% ready to let go of the weekend. So instead of starting the week off on a negative, put yourself in a positive mindset the night before. Pack your bag, meal prep, make up a nice cold drink to bring into work, decide what you'd like for breakfast Monday morning. Sunday nights are all about making Monday mornings much easier and a lot smoother. Make life a little easier for your future self and plan ahead the night before.

Eat Well

Don't over indulge on Sunday night. You don't want to go into work the next morning feeling bloated, lethargic and tired. It's not the best way to start the week off. Eat a nutritious meal for dinner, a light dessert and drink plenty of water. You can still have your Sunday roast once a week though, treat yourself! Just don't go too far with it is all. I'd also keep alcohol consumption to a minimum as well to avoid headaches or light-headedness the morning after.

Give Yourself Something to Look Forward to

Plan something nice to do with your Monday night. Give yourself something to look forward to at the end of the work day. It can even be something you've planned for the end of the week, but it still has the same effect. You have something to help get you through the working week and that's what you need to get into the habit of doing if you want to tackle those post weekend blues.

Get an Early Night

Getting an early night is the answer to everything. Not well? Early night. Big day tomorrow? Early night. Feeling mentally drained? Early night. Just like a good old British cup of tea, sleep solves pretty much everything. It puts you in a better mood for a start, it recharges your brain to make reaction times quicker, it can even help relieve stress too. Go to bed early Sunday night to put yourself in a better mood for the day we all despise. You'll notice a difference and feel so much happier come Monday morning.

Have Some Sort of a Plan

The way to make a day go faster is to keep busy. Sunday night, make a plan, draw up a list of things that need doing, something to keep you busy throughout the day. Work on ticking things steadily off your list (so as not to run out of things to do). As you get down the list, so will your day and before you know it, it's home time! Job done, right?
