My Favourite Christmas Decorations of 2024

Christmas 2024 is in full swing and we've had a few new decorations to add to our festive collection that I wanted to share with you. To be honest with you, most of the new ones we have this year are from our honeymoon, but there are a couple of decs that I bought recently from the garden centre this year. So let me show you what my favourite Christmas decorations are this year, not just because they're new, but because I genuinely do love them!

The Hogwarts Express from Universal Studios, Hollywood

This hanging decoration is from Universal Studios in Hollywood and is the first of five different hanging decorations we bought on our honeymoon. It's the Hogwarts Express from Harry Potter, so when I saw it in the gift shop, I couldn't leave it there. Also, doesn't a red train like this just scream Christmas?! I thought so too!

Basil, the Great Mouse Detective from Disneyland, CA

If you have never seen this film, then it's definitely one to watch. We loved this growing up as, of course, it's Disney! We bought this from Disneyland, California, also on our honeymoon. I knew that this specific hanging dec was difficult to get hold of in the UK, so I jumped at the chance to buy it in the States, and I'm so glad that I did, he looks the part in our 90%-Disney tree.

Mickey & Minnie Mouse 2024 light-up hanging decoration from Disneyland, CA

Another one from Disneyland, California, we just had to get a hanging decoration that had the year on it. This was more so that we could look back on 2024 as the year we got married and had the honeymoon of a lifetime. You can't see it in this photograph, but this ornament also lights up, how cool is that?! You can also un-clip it from its ribbon and have it as a sit-down ornament, if you preferred - the possibilities are endless.

Fisherman's Wharf hanging decoration from San Francisco, CA

This is something else we bought while on honeymoon. It's something a little more fun and less Chritmassy, but it gives a nod to the time we spent in San Francisco. Something else I love about it is the fact that it has the year on, too. This came from a all-year-round Christmas shop, actually IN Fisherman's Wharf, so it came directly from the source, haha.

Yosemite National Park hanging decoration

This one is a lot more heavy than it look, but it's worth it because it came all the way from Yosemite National Park in California. How cool is that?! I love it because it has almost every aspect of Yosemite that we managed to see during our two days there while we were...you guessed it...on our honeymoon haha.

My hand-made table centrepiece

I have been on the hunt for a festive table centrepiece for a while, but I couldn't find one that I liked or that I felt suited by taste and style. So I gave up the ghost and decided to make one myself. So I put this bad boy together.

It's made up of a glass plat, a white glittery Christmas tree candle and a red berry candle ring. I thought it was a really simple and understated nod to the Christmas season, without being too OTT. Go and have a gander around your local garden centre and see what you can put together yourself this festive period.

Star window lights from Sainsbury's Home

I have been on the lookout for some decent Christmas lights for the window for a while, but I never found the right ones at the right price. But we went into Sainsbury's a few weeks ago and spotted these bad boys for just £15, on offer of course, haha.

They're so simple-yet-effective and they also act as a lovely little warming light that showers the living room in golden hues. It makes the whole lounge look cosy and magical and I'm in love - whatta find!

My red berry coaster ring

I know that these rings are supposed to surround pillar candles, but I couldn't resist it when I saw it in the shop because I wanted something that was festive for my coasters on the coffee table, but that wouldn't stop someone from effortlessly getting one out and using it as when they needed one.

They had loads of different options in the garden centre, but loads of them had glitter on them and I wasn't down for glitter all over the living room, so I went with this one instead. You might recognise it from my table centrepiece, because they are, in fact, the same! You never know when you might need a red berry ring at Christmas haha.
