5 Activities to Do in Between Christmas & New Year

So that's it! We're now well into the full swing of Boxing Day, with Christmas done and dusted, but the net few days leaves us somewhat in limbo. With New Year fast-approaching, how can we spend the next few days in order to get the most of our time of? Here are a few ideas of my own, that we like to do, in between Christmas and New Year - I hope you find them useful :)

1. Visit family & friends

Christmas and New Year is all about spending time with our loved ones, especially if we don't get to see them at any other time of the year. So take the opportunity, while you're off work or school, to catch up with friends and to visit with your family. You never know when the next chance is going to be.

2. Have a roast dinner at a cosy pub

Roast dinners by a cosy fire in a warm and inviting pub is something that is perfect to do while we wait for the upcoming new year to start. They're hearty and perfect for warming the soul after (or before) a nice countryside walk in the snow.

3. Eat your leftover Christmas food

Of course, this festive time is meant for stuffing our faces, before we all elect to lose weight in the New Year. Take the time to eat your Christmas leftovers before it's too late - great if one of your New Year's Resolutions is to reduce your carbon footprint and better-manage your food waste.

4. Relax

It's not often that we actually do get the time to sit, relax and do literally nothing. So why not make the most of it and choose to relax at home or with loved ones. You want to go back to work, school or university feeling refreshed, motivated and ready to take on the new year ahead. So take this time to chill out and do absolutely nothing, because the rest of the year doesn't present many of the same opportunities.

5. Shop the sales

You can now shop the sales in the comfort of your own home, so there's no need to wrap up and drive into town to see what bargains could be had. Instead, stay at home, pop your feet up, pour yourself a glass of mulled wine and see what the Boxing Day sales have to offer you - you never know what you might find.
