Shoe Collection | Part 1: My Favourite Summer Heels

'Part 2: My Favourite Night Out (Clubbing) Heels'
'Part 3: My Favourite Casual Summer Shoes'
I love heels as much as the next girl does, and I think there's no better time of year to bring out your sling backs, wedges and nudes. Summery heels are my favourite kind, purely because you can wear them with almost anything, whether you're wearing jeans, skirts, dresses or even shorts, you can dress up your outfit by simply swapping a pair of flats for a lovely pair of wedges for example.
Now, let me show you, in more detail, the heels pictured in the image above. I will firstly show you what they look like off the feet, and also what they look like on the feet. Just because I am wearing a skirt to model these shoes, doesn't mean you have to wear them with a skirt as well, feel free to wear them with whatever you want. I will also mention the shop I bought them from, their price, age and also give a comfort rating out of 5, 5 being extremely comfortable, and 1 being very uncomfortable. So, with that aside, we shall begin :)
Pair Number 1
Shop: Clarks
Price: £29
Age: 2 Months
Comfort: 5 out of 5
These tan leather sling back wedges were a complete steal in the sale, down from £70 I couldn't just leave them there. The open toe, cushiony soles and also the fact that they're sling back makes them super comfy. In fact, they're the comfiest pair of heels have have ever worn. I wore them for several hours one Saturday afternoon, after a day of shopping and a few cocktails and it still felt like I was wearing a high heeled slipper. The leather material also adds to the comfort factor as it molds to the shape of your foot.
Because these shoes are tan, they can be worn with almost anything. I personally like to wear them with white, dark blue, or even black jeans. They can even be worn with light wash jeans. I haven't yet worn them with a skirt, however when taking these photos, I do like the look of them with this red skirt. The only down side with peep toe and sling backs is that you cannot really wear them with tights, so these are definitely more of a Summer shoe. These are my
Pair Number 2
Shop: TU at Sainsbury's
Price: £12
Age: 1 Year
Comfort: 3.5
These nude patent pumps are so versatile, not only do they go with absolutely everything, but you don't need to wear tights with them either. I believe they can be worn all year round. They look great with or without (skin coloured) tights, which is great if you don't feel comfortable getting your legs out for the whole world to see. The heel isn't too big so your feet should survive several hours in them without getting sore. I like the quality of the shoe also. Although they were a bargain price of £12, they feel so much more expensive than they actually are.
As you can see, these shoes are a lovely nude colour, more of a beige nude than a pink nude, so they can be worn with pretty much anything. I wouldn't however wear them with a maxi skirt/dress, I personally think a maxi skirt/dress should be kept casual, so a pair of wedges may suit them better. Again, they can be worn with or without (skin coloured) tights which adds to their versatility. I think a pair of nude heels should be a staple in every girl's wardrobe, whether you're 18 or 80, you can rock them too :)
Pair Number 3
Shop: Originally F&F at Tesco, bought from 'The Children's Society' Charity Shop
Price: £3.99
Age: 4 Months
Comfort: 3 out of 5
I love these wedges, they were a complete steal in a charity shop (thrift store) at only £4, and I couldn't resist, they were in my size as well which rarely happens as my feet are so super small at just a size 4. However, small feet aside, these are lovely. I love the almost straw like wedge as they are neither an espadrille or a cork heel, which I love as the texture is no where near straw or espadrille, which can also make them look slightly more formal. The polka dots make them more fun, and I also love the fact that they have a white and navy colour scheme, reminding me of a nautical/sailor theme which I love in the Summer as it reminds me of the beach and the Ocean, which I love to swim in whenever we get a chance :) Also, the slight platform at the from makes them much more comfortable, as your foot isn't at such a large angle which adds to the comfort factor also.
The reason I have categorised these as Summer heels, is because I wouldn't wear these with tights, yes they're nice with jeans in the colder months, but personally, I wouldn't want to wear these with tights. You might get away with wearing them with skin coloured tights, but apart from that, I'd like to keep these for Spring/Summer use. I love to wear these with white jeans or almost any coloured skirt, although, because they are primarily navy, I tend not to wear them with denim or any kind of wash to prevent clashing.
Pair Number 4
Shop: Originally M&S, bought from 'Mind' Charity Shop
Price: £7
Age: 2 Years
Comfort: 4 out of 5
Another charity shop (thrift shop) find, although they were slightly more expensive than the ones above, I still love them. It's always good to have a pair of black heels waiting in the wings during Summer. I love these because they're sling back, with a twist ;) and they're also peep toe, which makes me think of Summer 100%. Again, they're a wedge, and the heel on these are more espadrille than anything else. They're also rather light, although not as light as my Clarks pair at the very beginning. They soles are very cushiony again which means the balls of your feet aren't going to be screaming at you to sit down every 5 minutes.
The sling backs and peep toe also allow your feet to breathe, especially if it's a particularly hot day. The material on the top is a lot more flexible and is made out of a canvas type of fabric, again, light and allows he skin and feet to breathe nicely. I also really like the slight platform, again making sure you're foot isn't arching too far and, if you're short like me (5"2 xD ) then you also get a bit of added height without the pain ;)
Because these are black they can be worn with anything of any colour. I have worn these with jeans, skirts, midi skirts, a maxi skirt, and they look lovely. I wouldn't wear these with tights though, simple because they're sling back and peep toe. Also, I think the overall feel of the shoe is far more casual and weren't really designed with the party scene in mind. I love taking these out in the Summer though, and, being the oldest shoe in this post, I think I love them the most...for now ;)
