'Part 3: My Favourite Casual Summer Shoes'
Welcome back to Part 2 of my Shoe Collection. Personally, I was most excited about showing you my most loved shoes in this particular category, and I'd love to see which one(s) are your favourites, so let me know either in the comments or by using one of the three links at the end of this post :) There also seems to be a running theme with these shoes as the majority are black and cost me £12, purely out of coincidence! None the less, I hope you enjoy the post, here we go...
Pair Number 1
Shop: Primark
Price: £12
Age: 5 Months
Comfort: 3.5 out of 5
I was looking for a comfy pair of black wedges and I simply couldn't find any, especially for a reasonable price, so, what was my last point of call, which was Primark, should have been my first and I would have saved myself a lot of time. But I'm glad I didn't end up spending triple the price as I found these for a bargain price of just £12! I like them because although the heel doesn't look high, the slight platform at the front adds a nice bit of height without having to have your foot at such a ridiculous angle, so they're very bearable comfort wise. They're also black, as you will notice with the majority of the shoes mentioned in this post, so they will go with absolutely everything, a great versatile piece which should be a staple in every girl's wardrobe.
Pair Number 2
Shop: Clarks
Price: £12
Age: 1 Year, 5 Months
Comfort: 2.5 out of 5
I found these in the sale last year, mainly with my 18th birthday party in mind as the theme was red, white and blue. These were absolutely perfect and they're a nice height too. They're also easy to walk in regardless of the fact that they're not a wedge. Overall, they're a beautiful pair of shoes, ones I'd happily display if it wasn't for the difficulty of cleaning them. Some glitter can fall away from the rest of the shoe, however there are no bare patches where glitter had been and I am very impressed with the overall wear of the shoe. The only factor which lets these shoes down is that they're not the comfiest of shoe. I was able to wear them for about 3 hours before by feet started hurting, so if you're planning a long night, these aren't really the shoes for you. Despite his, they're still one of my favourites simply because they're so stunning to look at.
I like to wear these with a plain outfit, like a plain black dress for example. Although it wouldn't be impossible to be able to pull off wearing these with a pair of black tights, I like to wear them with skin coloured tights in the colder months. I also think they look lovely with a pair of black jeans and a top with dark blue accenting to it. They add glitz and glamour to an outfit in seconds, and I am so glad I managed to place them in my collection of heels.
Pair Number 3
Shop: TU at Sainsburys
Price: £12
Age: 18 Months
Comfort: 3.5
I can wear these with anything, like most shoes in this category, they're extremely universal, they can be worn with or without tights, with skirts, play suits, jump suits, jeans, trousers, dresses. They can also be dressed up for a night t the club or made slightly more formal should you want to wear them in the work place. Although they're not the comfiest shoe I have ever worn, I can wear them for a solid 6 hours before my feet start to ache.
Pair Number 4
Shop: Primark
Price: £14
Age: 3 Months
Comfort: 4.5 out of 5
I have left these till last as they're by far one of the more exciting pair of shoes in this post. They're also the highest and most interesting in my opinion. I like the open toes and heel aspect, I can go several hours without my feet hurting, Even after many hours on my feet, by the end of the night, it was only the balls of my feet which actually started to ache, and even then, I didn't need to take them off during my walk up the hill to my house after hours of dancing. I also am in absolute love with the cross over detailing at the front. I also like the gold buckle of the ankle strap as the hardware is gold and the strap is also adjustable so you're heels don't slip around or fall out of the back of your shoe. They're also a very recent purchase and are available in many different colours so get down to Primark soon and pick up a pair. By far the comfiest pair of night out heels I own and I cannot wait to wear them again!
Again, they're black, so I can wear them with anything, obviously I wouldn't wear them with tights, not even skin coloured ones. I think the detail of the shoe would be ruined slightly if worn with tights. I don't like my feet at all, however I don't feel uncomfortable wearing these, they don't show too much of the foot or toes, so if, like me, you dislike your feet too, then maybe you should consider buying a pair as they're nice for the warm summer months and great to wear in a hot club as your feet can breathe a lot more, BUT they don't show too much of the foot, PERFECT!
I also like the idea that although they're high, they don't feel it. The platform has a nice rock to it, allowing you walk safely and also very confidently, They are also very flattering as they elongate the leg, great if you're short like me :) The heel is also nice and chunk, so you're practically wearing a wedge! What's not to love? I have my eye on the bright hot pink pair they sell also, and it's not often I buy the same thing in many colours either. Overall, I fricking love them and would happily recommend them to anyone!
