How to Grow Your Instagram Following
Growing an Instagram following is a lot easier than you may think. As one of the world's most popular social media platforms, Instagram is still and will remain at the forefront of social networking. With over 200 million monthly members and 60 million photos posted per day, it's one of the best platforms to promote and express your creativity and innovation.
Here's how you can increase your following, allowing more and more people to enjoy the pictures you post!
Get creative with your hashtags
As well as the obvious, one word hashtags (which can be just as effective), you want to start getting more creative with the hashtags you're using. Be funny, outrageous or ironic, anything to draw the eye to your post. Avoid being completely boring with it, too!
Engage more with other users
'Like' other people's pictures, comment on them and follow the accounts you like the look of. If someone follows you, say thank you and give them a follow back, the same goes for those who 'like' your pictures. Take a scroll through their feed and give a few of their photos a 'like'. The more you engage with others, the more you'll be noticed and the more genuine your following will be.
Remove unwanted tagged photos of you from your profile
Doing this will allow you to only feature the best user-generated content on your profile. Although you can't remove tagged photos from the site completely, you can edit the tags on the photos that you don't want to feature on your IG. Remove them by clicking 'edit tags' and then 'hide from profile'. That should do the trick!
Develop your own style
Despite it being human nature to want to fit in with the rest of society, on Instagram, it does better for you to stand out from the crowd. Don't post what you think other people want to see, instead, post what you want to. Don't conform to what the rest of the 200 million users a month are posting. Do your thing and the followers will come :)
