Festive Christmas Decorations | LETS FEEL FESTIVE

Yes this is a random post, well, not that random as it is indeed CHRISTMAS which has undoubtedly come about way too fast this year, but I wanted to share with you my Christmas decorations and hope that you fall in love with them as much as I have! ENJOY!

"CHRISTMAS TREE O' CHRISTMAS TREE"

Yes the picture is blurry and I am sorry about that! the lighting was kind weird which didn't help, BUT I decorated the tree all by myself this year and I am rather proud of my handy work! We have a real tree and have done every single year! Its a family tradition of ours that we go up to Sherwood Pines in Nottinghamshire to select the perfect family Christmas tree, ours is typically a fur and is about 6ft tall although measurements do vary between 6 and 7ft with the supposedly 6ft trees. Real ones are pretty expensive, but when you are only forking out once a year, its a great addition to our household around the festive period.

"For he is the light of the world"

These lovely multi-coloured and multi-effect LED lights were 50% off at Homebase, because they are LED they don't get too hot and become a fire hazard! These are great lights coming in at around £15 for enough lights to go around a 6ft tree its not bad going really! they were originally £30 so we grabbed ourselves a bargain there didn't we? :)

"Deck the halls"

The cute baubles are very mis match and there isn't really a theme with our tree which gives it a little more personality in my opinion, having baubles that have been collected throughout the years makes the tree that bit more special, maybe start a tradition like that in your family and watch your tree slowly hold more and more memories for you and your loved ones :)

"underneath the mistletoe"

No its not mistletoe but its as good as! These cute little features were actually off old wreaths that we hang on our front door! like the tree, we get a real wreath as its different every year and it just adds authenticity. We don't throw away the entire wreath and so keep little treasures like this back to decorate the picture frames with! Why not give it a go next year? :)

"Away in a manger"

We always bring out this cute little nativity which we bought at our local church a number of years ago, and I am positive you can pick one up similar in your own church! Its definitely a mantle centre piece this time of year and everyone who comes into the house admires it! The advent candle, also from our local church, is super pretty, unlike any other advent candle I have ever seen! Seeing as Jesus is seen as the light of the world, our family like to use an advent candle to symbolise this as well has an advent calendar which you will see at the very end (personally, I think it is super cute).

"I m walking in the air"

I don't even know where we got this little guy from! but he does remind me of the snowman in 'The Snowman' short film! It is especially magical when day turns to night as the stars can be seen gently illuminating the shelf it is stood on! How adorable!

" Oh I wish that, every day was Christmas"

Told you our advent calendar was cute! It is actually a Christmas card but it des us nicely as an adorable miniature advent calendar! Bought from our local garden centre it sits comfortably on our mantle piece next to our nativity scene and our advent candle (of course placed a safe distance away from each other when the candle is a light)
