A Last Minute Mother's Day Gift Guide

With Mother's Day (in the UK) just around the corner, I'm sure a lot of us are still in a slight state of panic. Why? Because we haven't got anything for our lovely mums. Well I've put together a small gift guide, full of present ideas that you'll be able to get hold of pretty much straight away. Don't just opt for the typical bunch of flowers and a Cadbury Milk Tray, these small, thoughtful gifts are bound to take your mum by surprise.

Lush Avocado Wash Shower Gel

Everyone loves avocado. So why not smell like one of your favourite foods as well? This is a small bottle which was actually gifted to me. But you can get larger bottles depending on your budget. It smells delicious and its creamy texture gives it a luxurious feel. Overall, it would make for the perfect Mother's Day gift, you could even use it to complement a larger, more expensive gift if you so wished. It's even Vegan!

LancĂ´me La Vie Est Belle (100ml)

For those of you who have been following my blog for a while, this won't be something that is unfamiliar to you. I've been using this perfume everyday pretty much for the past two years. It is my absolute favourite scent, Every time I wear it, someone always asks me what it is I'm wearing. It isn't the cheapest perfume on the market, nor is it the cheapest in LancĂ´me's collection, but it's well worth splurging out on if you have the budget for it.

Cath Kidston Room Spray (Wild Garden)

This one is a more affordable alternative to the classic Jo Malone room sprays. This smells incredible, as the name suggests, it smells exactly like a meadow filled with flowers. It doesn't smell at all artificial either. If a garden of wild flowers doesn't float your mum's boat, there are plenty of other scents you can buy. If you go in store, they'll have testers you can smell. I think these are in the sale currently, so grab yours while you still can if you think your mum would like it.

Feminists Don't Wear Pink & Other Lies by Scarlett Curtis

This has received quite a lot of love over the past few months, being The Sunday Times best seller in 2018. If your mum enjoys a good read, then this could be the book for her. It's down-to-Earth, funny and completely non-judgemental. It helps us to understand that there is no one route to feminism. It's not meant to be a hard-hitting, deep thought provoking book, quite the contrary in fact. It's light-hearted with a complete lack of 'preachiness'. It's perfect for the bookworm mumma and it's so easy to get your hands on before Sunday rolls around.
