Skin & Hair Care Haul | October
Yes, its that time of year again, the time where we begin to whip out or body scrubs and rich body moisturisers to hydrate our dry, wind swept skin. So, after watching numerous skin and hair care hauls on YouTube the other day, I went out and picked up some ultimate bargains (all of which were purchased from Sainsburys so grab some great products at great prices, while you still can!)! So, lets begin shall we?
Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub
RRP: £2.99
Special Offer Price: £1.99
Anyone who follows me regularly will know that I am absolutely in love with this facial scrub, in fact, I am so happy with it, I am scared to try anything else because it may not live up to this one!
The packaging is great and it is so easy to dispense the product, it is also really easy to get what little product that's left when you have nearly used it up! Overall, its a great product! Bearing in mind this is the only skin care product in this haul that I have purchased numerous times before, so this was kind of a mini review!
As you can plainly see, it claims to be oil free and lifts away dirt and oil! It also claims that you will see fewer blackheads after one wash! As a customer who has continued to re-purchase this product, I can safely say it is very true! I only use this every other day, even though it says it can be used daily, I do like to give my skin a break from scrubbing it everyday as it is not a chemical exfoliator. Overall, I love this and I recommend it to anyone who has problems with spots of any kind! I find using it every other day or even just twice a week can keep those black heads at bay.
VO5 Give Me Moisture Treatment Mask
RRP: £4.98
(I bought it the full price)
My trusty 'Herbal Essences Intensive Hair Treatment Mask' has sadly run out, and, just for a change, I decided to buy this one, not only because it is about a pound cheaper but because I always like to try new things when it comes to looking after my hair! It claims to have 5 vital oils which hydrates and softens your hair! Cleary you get 300ml which is a great amount for a hair treatment mask. I usually use mine once a week depending on how much heat I have used on my hair, sometimes, I may leave it as long as once a month just to give my hair a little treat! Because of this, an intensive hair treatment mask usually lasts me a few months at the very least!
According to the directions of use, you are to apply the majority onto the ends of your hair and just run the excess through your entire head, you are to leave it on for 5-8 mins and then rinse thoroughly until the product has been fully washed out. I am very excited to try this, so I will keep you posted on how good or bad the product is! So, watch this space.
Simple Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Foaming Cleanser
RRP: £3.69
Special Offer Price: £1.99
I am a big fan of 'Simple' any way so I was very intrigued by this! I already own their facial toner which I love to death, so my logic tells me that this cleanser should be great! Like the hair treatment mask, I am very excited to start using this and once again, I will keep you posted with how well I get on with it!
'Simple' claims that it has 2 vitamins present in the product, 3 'skin loving' ingredients, no artificial perfumes or colours and it apparently includes some moisturisers as well! What bold statements to make! I bought it because I liked the 'foaming' concept and also, by using this in conjunction with my 'Simple Kind to Skin Soothing Facial Toner', it may help to smooth out my skin and any unwanted spots that may be brewing.
What I like about this is the pump function instead of the product having to be squeezed out which should make it efficient to use! Once again it directs the customer to pump twice into your hand and then smooth over the face in circular motions until the product has foamed nicely, once done, rinse off with warm water, if any gets in your eyes, you must rinse it out immediately with warm water! If you enjoy using new facial cleansers, this one looks very promising, and again, I will keep you posted with how I get on with it!
VO5 Smoothly Does It Curl Defining Moose
RRP: £3.89
Special Offer Price: £1.99
I am always curling my hair for nights out, I especially like to curl it in the winter and just accessorise it with a cute beret! Although I curl it in a way that the curls don't drop out entirely, I thought this looked like a great product! It also claims to have heat defence built into it which is very interesting.
Not only will it define heat styled curls, and even natural curls, it also smoothes over straight hair as well therefore suiting the best of both worlds! It even claims to give a frizz free finish! I have never had a problem with frizzy hair, even in the rain, I have always been very lucky! I also have a natural shine to my hair even when it needs a wash, some people have asked me what shining products I use on it, and to their amazement, I don't use anything to give me added shine, something which I was blessed with from a very young age.
Like the 'Simple' cleanser, this also has a pump function which is very handy especially when you are in a rush! It tells the user to put I generous amount onto the hand and smooth over towel dried hair from mid head to the ends. If you have naturally straight hair and want a curly style that way, wait until the hair is a little dryer before applying it to the hair and scrunch up in your fists. Such an easy and efficient concept!
