A Spray-On, Fast-Drying Sun Cream That's Beaten Last Year's Favourite to the Top Spot

We went to Florida back in June and I used this sun cream religiously throughout the day. Not only was it great for mid-thirty degree heat, but it was also perfect for use back home, because not long after we got home, we hit 40 degrees Celsius here in the UK. So sun cream was absolutely needed.

I always make the time to apply sun cream during the summer, even if I'm just doing the gardening. But when I'm in such a hurry, the last thing I want to do is pick up bottles of the stuff that's thick, sticky and takes ages to dry into the skin. So my solution? This spray-on sun cream from NIVEA.

How easy is it to apply the sun cream?

It's never been easier to apply sun cream with the spray-functionality. Simply aim the nozzle at the part of the body you want to cover, spray up and down in short bursts, then rub it in using your hands. This can be done even when out and about so you won't have to worry about applying thick, heavy sun cream to your arms and legs and rubbing it in with everyone watching. Simply spray it on and rub it in. It can be massaged into the skin and absorbed within seconds, so no embarrassing application sessions in public.

What does the sun cream smell like?

It smells delightful, just as you would expect from a light sun cream from NIVEA. NIVEA products always smell fresh and divine and the same can be said of their sun cream, especially this one. It's not overly perfumed so it won't make you smell like "holiday", if that makes sense and it won't distract from any scent you have on either.

Is the sun cream greasy to touch?

It has a slight oily texture to it, but once the skin has soaked it up, which won't take long at all, then your skin just feels normal, almost like you don't have any sun cream on at all. I'd say it's worth buying it just for that, really, because there's nothing I hate more than feeling sticky and greasy after applying sun cream.

How quickly does the sun cream dry on the skin?

The sun cream dries exceptionally fast. But it doesn't just dry, it absorbs into the skin. It feels as though it's got into your pores and is just sitting there ready to protect you from the sunshine. It's waterproof as well so you can wear it in the pool, at the beach or in a water park and you'll still be very much protected.

You won't have to wait long at all to put your clothes on at the start of the day and it can be applied throughout the day and night as and when needed without you having to worry about feeling wet or greasy for a while afterwards.
