We Tired Gideon's Bakehouse in Disney Springs for the First Time

Gideon's Bakehouse is located in Disney Springs and it sells the most amazing cookies and cakes. I recommend getting one thing and sharing it between two people because their baked goods really are that big. But the thing is, we never would have come across this incredible bakery if it wasn't for us watching Paging Mr Morrow on YouTube.

Mr Morrow, or Nate as he likes to be called, spends the majority of his time wondering around the Disney parks as well as Disney Springs. He absolutely loves this place. He'll buy things just to put in his freezer, ready to eat another day. Gideon's is now so popular that there's a line out the door and it can take around ten or fifteen minutes just to get in through the front door.

From the outside, it reminds me of some sort of haunted house or an abandoned house that shouldn't be entered for fear of being attacked by a wicked witch or another sinister being and that vibe is very much carried out inside as well.

It has a bit a Haunted Mansion feel about it, when you queue up to get on the ride in Magic Kingdom. It's incredibly dark and gothic inside, but the smell is incredible. I haven't smelt anything like it before or since, not even in the Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom. See for yourself in the photos below...

What did we order?

I ordered a white chocolate chip and macadamia nut cookie. Unfortunately, it was limited edition for June, but they always have some absolutely amazing flavours on the menu that even the most savoury-loving people won't be able to resist. Tom opted for a chocolate and pistachio cookie together with a salted caramel iced latte to go along with it. Even the drink was delicious - like a liquidised cake in a cup. Read their menu here.
