Colours You'll See Everywhere This Autumn
With every new season comes a prediction of the colours that are going to be bang on trend and that's something that's published by the King of Colour themselves - Pantone Colour Institute.
So with that in mind, and with the turn of another season, here are the colours that are supposed to be extremely popular this Autumn/Winter. Whether you paint your living room in it or wear a jumper in it, you can rest assured that you'll be bang on trend this season! So, without further ado, here are the colours that are meant to be making a statement this fall.
Cobalt blue
A colour that's considered to suit, almost, anyone, Cobalt Blue is set to be everywhere this autumn. As a shade that's not really warm or cool, it's going to suit everyone, no matter their hair colour.
From blonde to bright red, Cobalt Blue is going to be a staple colour in your wardrobe this season. Whether you're rocking a blue pair of heels or painting your nails in it, you'll be sure to stand out from the crowd.
Crimson
This particular shade of red isn't really something we'd sport during the spring and summer months. It's just too warm and comforting as a colour to wear during the blistering heat and bright sunshine. But as the autumn rolls in, Crimson red has become far more desirable.
It's dark and rich, almost like the perfect glass of aged red wine. You'll be able to go out in Crimson whether you're attending a dinner party in the evening or heading out shopping with the girls on a crisp, autumn afternoon. Either way, Crimson is here to stay this fall.
Burgundy
Again, like a fine red wine, burgundy is deep, dark red colour that seems to be making a comeback year after year. In fact, it's one of the staple colours in my own autumn/winter wardrobe; even my car is burgundy!
But it's no secret that this eye-catching shade of red is shuffling its way back into the limelight on your clothes, shoes and even your lipsticks, in some cases. Burgundy is such a versatile colour that can be worn with almost anything and you'll be bang on trend if you rock it this fall. Not to mention, it's also a wonderful alternative to brown, which can look a bit too 70's.
Emerald
Green is often a shade that's forgotten about during the autumn/winter. Lighter, lime greens can be quite popular during the spring and summer, but darker shades tend to fade out come fall.
Emerald green, however, is making an appearance and it's coming back with a vengeance. An understated, darker tone of green, emerald, much like cobalt blue, is a colour that'll go with anything and suit everyone, so no wonder it's making a long overdue statement this season.
Lilac
An unlikely candidate for a colour that'll trend this autumn, lilac is often associated with the warmer seasons, like spring and summer. But it's actually set to push further into the autumn/winter this year.
A versatile, dusky shade of pink (or even purple), lilac isn't the colour for everyone, simply down to personal taste, but it's actually supposed to be extremely complementary. No matter your skin tone or hair colour, lilac is a colour that just won't quit, even as the weather takes a chilly turn.
