Visiting Buckingham Palace to Pay Our Respects to Queen Elizabeth II

On Sunday 11th September 2022, Tom, my sister and I travelled down to London to pay our respects to Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II who sadly passed away on the 8th September. We wanted to go and honour the Queen and to look at the tributes and flowers that had been left for her. It was an incredibly emotional experience that I also found quite overwhelming.

But even thought there were thousands of people there, it was exceptionally quiet and everyone was very respectful in the royal parks and around the outside of Buckingham Palace. I don't want this post to be word-heavy, so instead, I'm going to leave you with a few pictures we took of the day. From queuing through Green Park and up to Buckingham Palace to walking through the thousands of flowers that had been lovingly laid for everyone to view, here's what that day looked like.
