Plant pots and containers can be extremely expensive, especially when bought from a garden centre, unless there's a sale on, which there usually is. But what if there isn't one at this time of year? Not many people will remember that B&M do almost everything, and since they bought out Homebase, they have a much larger collection of outdoor items, and that includes plant pots. The plant pots from Dunelm are readily available both in store and online. They have loads of different shapes, patterns and colours available for a reasonable price, so keep your eyes peeled if you're looking for plant pots that won't break the bank. IKEA
People often forget about this little gem, associating it only with homeware and flat pack furniture. But did you know that they actually do outdoor pots and containers? I didn't until I looked a few weeks ago. Check out their outdoor collection of plant pots, with prices ranging from just 50p, right through to £40.
Garden centre sales
I know I've just discounted garden centres for plant pots and containers, but they often have sales on. Look for those sale sections. If there isn't a sale on yet, leave it and go somewhere else, or bide your time and look again at the end of the season. you can get some real bargains when you time it right.
Ask around
I've acquired loads of different pots from family and friends, simply because they're empty, unused and unwanted. Why not ask around and see if people you know have old plant pots lying around that they want to get rid of. It will save you a lot of money, even if you aren't paying full price for them at a garden centre.
