5 Iron-Rich Foods I Love Including in My Diet
There are loads of foods that you can include in your diet that are rich in iron, and I love to add them all to the dishes we make. But seeing as there are so many, I just thought I'd compile a list of iron-rich foods that I love to include in our meals for that added kick of iron-ey goodness:
- Red meat
- Any form of bean, including chickpeas, edamame, green beans, kidney beans, butter beans and more
- Nuts, including pistachios and cashews
- Dried fruits, including apricots, mango, raisins, sultanas and more
- Dark green leafy veg, such as spinach, savoy cabbage, Brussels sprouts, cucumber (skin on), kale, peas, broccoli and more
Make sure you see your doctor if you have concerns about your iron intake or iron levels before consuming any of the foods mentioned above. For more information about iron, take a look at this NHS resource for good measure.
