How to Start Looking Forward to Monday Mornings
Monday mornings are, and always will be, a drag. They signal the start of the working week, with five days till wait till the weekend. But what if I told you that there are a few ways in which you can start looking forward to the dreaded Monday mornings? In this blog post, I'm going to be giving you a few ways in which you can actually start positively anticipating Monday mornings, so let's dive right in.
1. Think about everything good the week has in store for you
Look at the week ahead and then think about all of the positive things that will come out of it. What have you got planned for that week? Is there something happening on Monday specifically or does it signal the start of an exiting week? Think about what it has in store for you with a positive spin in mind, whether it be at the start or the end of the week.
2. Keep sleep patterns the same for weekends as you do for weekdays
It can be easy to let sleep patterns slip while you're enjoying the weekends. It can mean late nights and late mornings, but you should try your best to keep the sleep patterns the same so as to avoid waking up feeling tired and groggy first thing on Monday morning.
3. Forget about the previous week so you can start with a clean slate
Regardless of how the previous week went, try and forget about it when you enter into the new week. This is so you can start Monday morning off with a clean slate that you have control over. Try and see it as a fresh start with new things to look forward to as the week goes on.
4. Do something on Sunday that lifts you up
The thing to do on Sunday is to do something that makes you feel happy and good. This will help to set you up for a good, positive week with an uplifted mindset. Do something that makes you feel good and refreshed so that you feel ready to take on the week ahead.
5. Don't over-schedule yourself
The worst thing you can do on a Monday morning is to over-schedule yourself. Don't plan appointments or other affairs on a Monday, especially first thing. Plan those things in later in the week or later in the day if it has to be a Monday.
6. Reset the house on Sunday night ready for the next morning
If you want to start Monday morning off on the right note, then make sure you've reset your house the night before. This means clearing up after dinner or nightcaps from the Sunday night. I find that a tidy house means a tidy mind.
