Blogmas Day 24 | 6 Things You Can Add Bailey's to for a Christmas Eve Treat
Welcome to Blogmas day 24. This is the penultimate Blogmas post, where I have been uploading a festive article every day on the run up to Christmas Day. Tomorrow will be the very last day of Blogmas 2025, but for now, we're going to be focusing on Christmas Eve and a very naughty-but-nice beverage to enjoy while you see in the big day. Whether you're wrapping those last-minute gifts or snuggling up on the sofa watching festive films, here are six things you can add Bailey's to for a Christmas Eve treat:
1. Coffee & hot chocolate
We come to the classic Bailey's addition which I think we're all guilty of around the festive period - a shot of it in our favourite hot beverages. It adds just a little bit of flavour and an alcoholic kick to basic hot chocolates and cups of coffee. So don't be afraid to tip in a cheeky Bailey's shot this Christmas Eve.
2. Ice cream
Take a good quality simple vanilla ice cream and pour a shot or two of Bailey's over the top. A festive affogato twist for Christmas Eve, Bailey's will give it a gorgeous alcoholic twist that just screams Christmas. Don't be afraid to serve it up on Christmas Day in place of Christmas pudding, which no one really likes anyway, haha.
3. Chocolate brownies
The great thing about Bailey's is that it's so versatile. You can either add a shot or two into your brownie mixture before cooking or use the Bailey's in place of cream or custard when serving. It adds just the right amount of festiveness to make you feel Christmassy.
4. Pancakes
Either pour a shot of Bailey's over your finished pancakes or add it to the mixture for good measure. It's a great way to add a hint of the festive beverage without going overboard and it makes the perfect breakfast on Christmas Eve.
5. Cheesecake
If you're making a classic cheesecake this Christmas, then why not add a splash of Bailey's to your plain vanilla mixture? It adds a festive twist and some amazing flavour to something that's often considered basic. It's a flavour that's bound to leave everyone wanting "just one more slice" of cheesecake!
6. Christmas pudding
Pour a shot of Bailey's over the top of your Christmas pudding for good measure in place of cream, custard or even brandy. It's a lovely creamy addition with just the right amount of alcohol content to make it the perfect Christmas Eve treat.
