Jazz Up Your Greens with Two Simple Ingredients

I LOVE broccoli. But sometimes, it gets a bit boring on its own, so we sometimes toss it in some herbs and spices to kick things up a notch. But this is usually our go-to, especially if we're having stir fry. It's a delicious, quick and simple side dish to put together - perfect to go alongside a mid-week dinner. Here's how you can jazz up your everyday greens in five easy steps.

What will you need?

*A frying pan/wok
*Rapeseed oil
*Light soy sauce
*Tender stem broccoli
*4 garlic cloves

How do you do it?

Step 1: Heat up the pan and add some oil, once it's hot enough, add 2 cloves of crushed garlic and stir until you can hear the content sizzling slightly

Step 2: Add a few drops of soy sauce to the mix, but stand back, because it may start to spit

Step 3: Drop in your bunch of tender stem broccoli, give it a toss and then add the other 2 cloves of crushed garlic and some more soy sauce - the amount of which is entirely up to you at this point

Step 4: Keep tossing the veg until it changes from a light green to a dark green and you feel like each one has been generously coated with the soy sauce/garlic seasoning

Step 5: Serve up the broccoli by picking it up gently and placing in a serving bowl or on a serving plate. Pour the remaining soy sauce/garlic mix over the top and get ready to tuck in. Enjoy it alongside a stir fry or on its own, depending on what you're feeling
