30 Things You Can Do Instead of Checking Social Media
Scrolling through social media can become repetitive and boring, especially if you don't follow many people or if you don't have a great deal to say or add to the online conversation. With so little to do that's interactive, it's no wonder that people are starting to look at doing other things instead of flicking through their social networking sites. If, like me, you're looking for something else to do that will give your thumb a rest, then take a look through my extensive list below:
- Unsubscribe from promotion emails if you're sick of them clogging up your inbox
- Plan a coffee date with a friend and have a good catch up
- Go to bed a little earlier
- Go for a walk around the block or around the local park
- Write a blog post
- Read a magazine
- Read a book
- Write down a list of goals and tick them off as you go
- Sort through that pile of clutter
- Take steps to learn a new language
- Give your friends and family a call
- Do some baking
- Learn how to cook a new dish
- Clear out your kitchen cupboards
- Do a jigsaw puzzle
- Unload the dishwasher
- Plan a small gathering at your home
