Everything I Loved in October

October has come and gone and you know what that means...another post telling you everything I have loved throughout the course of the month. So with autumn in full swing and Christmas just around the corner, these posts are about to get a whole lot more cosy. Let's take a look at everything I have loved throughout October.

Two amazing hen dos

This month saw me enjoying not one, but two hen dos. My future sister-in-law had her's at the start of the month and my best friend had her first one at the end of the month. She's having another one mid-November as she's getting married next month and to say I'm looking forward to it is an understatement.

The first one took place in Brighton over a fun-filled weekend, which is where the header picture came from, that's my mum, my sister and myself on Brighton Pier enjoying the sunset. The pictures below are from my best friend's Hen party.

She wanted to have an afternoon tea-themed afternoon, followed by drinks afterwards and it was just lovely. I can't wait for the second Hen Do as it's a bottomless brunch, which means ALL of the prosecco!

We've finished laying the patio

If you've been following me on my blog for the last few months, you'll know that we started a huge garden project back in May, and when I say huge, I mean HUGE. We did everything ourselves, so to say we have a full patio laid is groundbreaking for us.

We've stopped work now until the spring, but we have some flower beds and some steps up to the top of the garden ready to go, we just need to slab them and work out some more aesthetic elements before we can properly announce it as "done".

Check back here in the spring/summer next year to see how we get on with the steps and wall tiling! But for now, the patio is complete and functional for when we get a bit of sunshine.

Visiting the local Shetland ponies

We live out in the countryside, with loads of fields nearby. In one of those fields are three Shetland ponies, two brown and one black, and they are out and ready to meet passersby almost all the time. Whenever we go for a walk we will always make a point of passing by their field to say hello and it absolutely made my day! Aren't they cute?!

My new grey jumper

This jumper took my eye this month. I know it's not anything special, it's not a bold colour or comes with sparkle, but it looked right up my street. It's long enough to wear with leggings and boots and it's so soft and warm. I've dedicated a whole post to it, which you can view here if you want to know more :)
