4 Ways to Ask Someone to Be Your Bridesmaid

There are loads of ways now to ask someone to be your bridesmaid. Where some people might just prefer the quick and simple way of just asking and hoping that they say yes, others might want to make more a thing of it. Being a bridesmaid is a huge responsibility, so the least we can do, as the bride-to-be, is give them a little present as a thank you for taking on so much for us. So here are some ways to ask someone to be your bridesmaid.

1. Send a personalised cookie or biscuit

Everyone loves a sweet treat, so why not have a few personalised cookies made to give out to your bridesmaids as a way of asking them? Cookies or cakes are a thoughtful gift, but they also won't go to waste. Just make sure you check for any allergies and dietary requirements anyone has before giving them to your potential bridesmaids.

2. Give them a card

You can't go far wrong with a simple card. We give cards to people all the time, for loads of different occasions, so why should it be different when we're asking someone to be our bridesmaid? It's something they can put up in their home but it's also something that they could keep forever, if they really wanted to.

3. Gift a hanging decoration

Hanging decorations aren't just a touching way of asking someone to be your bridesmaid, but they're also great for putting up around the home. Your friend will be able to answer the question whilst also having the option to hang the decoration up or keep it as a memory to look back on in years to come. The choice is entirely theirs, which is why it makes for a great way to ask someone to be your bridesmaid.

4. Give them some jewellery

Jewellery, like friendship bracelets and dainty necklaces, are the perfect gift to give to your bridesmaids, especially if you're wanting to ask them to do their duty, rather than give them a present as a thank you for doing it in the first place. You can buy jewellery that is reasonably-priced, but also that is very pretty and just as sentimental.
