*A handful of mini marshmallows

How to make a Nutella hot chocolate

Making a Nutella hot chocolate is the easiest, most straightforward hot beverage to make in the world. It's just like mixing hot milk with powdered drinking chocolate, but instead of powder, we're going to use two teaspoons of Nutella chocolate spread, because who doesn't love Nutella, right?

First things first is that you need to boil up your 200ml of milk. it can be any kind of milk, whole, semi-skimmed or skimmed, it works with any of them. The only thing I'm not sure if it works with is oat or any other non-diary milk alternative, so you might have to do a bit of experimentation yourself at some point.

BUT if you can have a hot milky beverage, then continue reading, haha! So, boil up you milk to a simmer. It's easier done if you have a milk thermometer to hand, because you can continue to boil it through until the temperature reads about 70 degrees Celsius.

Once the milk has been brought up to temperature, you should be fine to go ahead and stir two teaspoons of Nutella into the now hot milk. Keep stirring it through, with a wooden or silicone spoon, until it's completely melted. You'll know when it's ready because the milk will change colour, turning from white into a deliciously-chocolately brown shade.

Test it with the milk thermometer and once it's read the right temperature, feel free to pour the chocolate into a mug and serve. For a luxury finish, add some whipped cream and marshmallows to the top, curl up on the sofa and enjoy this gorgeous, hot treat!
