Everything I Loved in January

January has come and gone this year already. It's such a long month, literally. It think there must have been about five weeks in this month, but it felt more like ten! Anyway, we can finally wave goodbye to the most depressing month of year.

But while we're saying goodbye gloomy January, we're going to be taking a look back at everything I have loved throughout the last five weeks. While the list might not be as long as previous month, mainly because it's a very boring and laborious month, the things that have made it onto my list are definitely worth a mention! Here's everything I loved in January.

My new Volkswagen Polo SE

This month, I bought myself a new car. I swapped my Vauxhall Adam Glam for a Volkswagen Polo SE model. It's still a petrol, manual car, but it's a one litre engine, has five doors instead of three and is a rose gold colour rather than the purple and white I had with my Adam. Overall, it's a beautiful car that drives well. So I'm very happy with my new, big purchase. If you want to learn a little more about it, check out the blog post I wrote recently :)

Meeting up with my brother at Cheshire Oaks

While we were picking up my new car from Chester, we dropped into the outlet stores at Cheshire Oaks. Tom needed some new jeans and I wanted a pair of Sketchers for our trip to Florida. But seeing as my brother and his fiancee live in North Wales, it really wasn't far for them to come and meet up with us there. We had a Starbucks coffee, went shopping together, browsed most of the shops and then had a Five Guys for lunch for good measure. It was such a lovely day!

Seeing Monty Don live, finally

You might be wondering why I said "finally". We were due to go and see Monty Don back in November, but he had to postpone it due to an illness. So having felt better, he rescheduled the dates he missed and the one for Nottingham was rescheduled to January, much to my relief.

I was hoping that he wouldn't cancel completely, and he didn't! It really was such a wonderful, relaxing and enjoyable night. I could have spent all evening listening to him speaking about Long Meadow and the dogs and just his life in general. I would totally go again if he ever came back to town.

The Traitors

This has been the one thing I have been looking forward to throughout the month of January. It's remained a constant for three days of the week and I am absolutely loving every single episode so far. Do you watch The Traitors? Do you think they'll get caught? It's the drama and the anticipation that keeps me watching. That and I absolutely LOVE Claudia's outfits. I just like to see what she's wearing next. Who else is in Claudia-fashion awe?
