Everything I Loved in March
Another month has come and gone, and what a month it has been. This March, I turned 30 and we also visited Walt Disney World in Florida to celebrate, so a lot has happened tat's been particularly notable, but what else have I loved throughout the month of March? Let me give you the low down on everything I've loved in March.
My 30th birthday
I turned 30 this month, which is a huge milestone generally. If you want to hear about how I feel about being 30, then check out one of my latest blog posts here, where I discuss my thoughts on hitting the big 3-0 birthday.
But what did I do for it? We flew to Walt Disney World in Florida to celebrate. It's always been somewhere I wanted to be when I turned 30, so it was a dream come true. It was a blast.
On my birthday, we went to the Grand Floridian Resort for breakfast, followed by a day in Magic Kingdom, riding all the rides and eating a Dole Whip (of course). We then went for dinner at Sebastian's Bistro, which is a family-style restaurant serving some of the best food I have ever tried.
I also enjoyed a Pina Colada, but the fun didn't stop there. Tom surprised me with an authentic Mickey Mouse birthday cake, which came from a famous bakery in the heart of Disney Springs.
After our delicious meal, we hit up the bars along the harbour in Disney Springs. Wine Bar George was a great little place, perfect if you like wine tasting or want to splash a little more cash on a delectable glass of wine.
Visiting Walt Disney World
This trip to WDW was a very special one, not just because I turned 30, but also because it's where we got engaged, and we're now married. In addition, it's also because, for my birthday, Tom got us a place on the Keys to the Kingdom Tour in Magic Kingdom.
You get exclusive behind-the-scenes views and experiences that no one else in the park gets. Not only do you learn some of the secrets of the place, but you also get to go through the Utilidoors and you can watch everyone prepare for the parades.
We actually went down into the tunnels under the theme park and ventured under the Castle itself - how amazing is that?! You even get fast-tracked onto two different rides, skipping the queue in the process. We went on Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion, going through the back door as well!
It's something I don't think I'll ever experience again, which is why it's something that I will forever cherish. That and just visiting WDW alone is an absolute dream every time. That's obviously why it's made the list of things I have loved throughout March.
First wedding anniversary
This month, we celebrated out first wedding anniversary - HOW did that happen? A year has gone by so fast. I won't reflect on our year of marriage here, because I've already done that in one of my latest blog posts, which you can read here. But this was something amazing and notable that I loved that happened in March.
New windows & doors in the kitchen
This month, we had some new windows and doors fitted as the others were very old (I'm talking late 80's early 90's). So as you can expect, they needed replacing, so we did just that. We had two new windows and a set of French doors in our kitchen-diner and it looks and feels so much better.
Not to mention the security is enhanced too. I've left some pictures below for you, but I have done a dedicated blog post with some before and after pics in for you, if you'd like a more in-depth view.
