5 Things to Add to Your Coffee for a Halloween Touch
Halloween is almost upon us, but that means the cold weather is as well. What better way to warm through than with a lovely hot beverage in hand? But the same old coffee can get boring, especially as we're entering the spooky season. You want to add something interesting to an otherwise boring, everyday brew, but what? If you've been wondering, then you've come to the right place. Here are five things to add to your coffee for a Halloween touch in 2025.
1. Pumpkin spice
Yes, I said it. But what's autumn and Halloween without a bit of pumpkin spice? Add a shot of espresso, pour in the steamed milk and add some pumpkin spiced syrup for good measure. Then, top it all off with a sprinkle of ground nutmeg and cinnamon for that extra spiced kick and an added hint of autumnal flavour.
2. White chocolate
You can turn your coffee into a mocha with a rich white chocolate sauce. Simply make your coffee as you would, with the espresso and steamed milk, and then swirl in a generous helping of white chocolate sauce. To sweeten things up even further, add some vanilla syrup and a dollop of fresh whipped cream, then drizzle some chocolate syrup over the top to finish it off.
3. Almond milk & cinnamon
Start off with your espresso, but before you steam your ordinary cow's milk, steam some almond milk instead. Then stir in a dash of cinnamon for that spicy autumnal flavour that can only really be enjoyed at this time of year. If you don't fancy almond milk but want a bit of change this Halloween, choose oat milk instead.
4. Ice cream
Make the ultimate affogato at home this Halloween as an autumnal treat. Take one scoop of quality vanilla ice cream, dispense a shot of espresso and pour that over the top of your ice cream. This makes for the most delicious coffee beverage, or as a dessert after dinner. For that added Halloween touch, sprinkle on some nutmeg and cinnamon or choose a different ice cream flavour, like toffee or caramel.
5. Mint
Add some Frankenstein green to your Halloween coffee by adding some peppermint syrup to your everyday coffee. You could even add some green food colouring to make it even more spooky. It would definitely stand out in a transparent glass coffee cup. Finish it off with some whipped cream and some chocolate shavings for good measure.
