How to Enjoy Your Garden in Autumn
Summer is well and truly over. But the garden is still offering up some greenery and flowers. I love to look at the plants and flowers that are still growing and offering up their autumn showcase, but it's not the same looking at it all from inside the house. So I was thinking of different ways to get out and enjoy the garden while the autumn gets in full swing. With this in mind, here's how to enjoy your garden in autumn.
Pull up a chair in the sunshine
Just because it's autumn doesn't mean that the sunshine has gone away. Nothing is stopping you from spending an afternoon in the garden drinking a coffee or eating your lunch while the sun is shining. Even though there's a nip in the air, the sunshine will still be warm enough to bask in it for a few more weeks before the chilly weather really picks up.
Light the fire pit
Fire pits are a great way of enjoying your garden, whether it be nighttime or daytime. You could light a fire at any time of the day, you don't have to wait for the sun to go down. We love to light a fire during the daytime in our fire pit and have a drink outside on our garden sofa. It extends the life and enjoyment of your garden even into the autumn months.
Enjoy the wildlife
The wildlife that appears around autumn is amazing, even more so than during the summer, I would say. We live in the countryside, so the wildlife we get around here is pretty cool. From birds of prey like Red Kites and Sparrow Hawks to badgers and hedgehogs and everything in between, I just love to sit out in the sun and see what appears in my garden.
Add some outdoor lighting
As the days are getting shorter, we're losing the light quicker. As such, if you're wanting to make the most of your garden before the weather really starts to turn, then you're going to need to add some outdoor lighting. You can have them hard-wired in by a competent professional, or you can simply add some solar-powered lights instead. They both do the same thing when you need it most.
