5 of the Best Dog-Friendly Days Out in the UK

Dogs are everyone's best friends, so it's only natural for us to want to bring them with us on our adventures. Not only does it give them the best possible life for the short time they're on this Earth, but they also light up our lives in ways that other people just can't.

So why would we want to leave our happy little fur babies at home while we go out and live the life of Riley? It got me thinking about where someone who had a dog would be able to bring them around the UK. So I did a bit of research for you all. Here are five of the best dog-friendly days out in the UK that you can share with your pawsome little friend!

1. The Eden Project

This one might surprise you. But I had a good look on the internet, and it turns out that dogs are actually welcome at The Eden Project. Based in the heart of Cornwall, it's a dog-friendly attraction that the entire family can enjoy. There are miles of outdoor paths, complete with designated dog waste bins, so you'll never have to worry about what to do with that full poo bag when they've been to the toilet.

2. The Lake District National Park

An outstanding area of natural beauty, the Lake District National Park offers gorgeous British scenery and views that both yourself, your family and your dog can enjoy. With rolling hills, glistening bodies of water and winding footpaths, there's nothing but exploration and excitement ahead for your curious pooch.

3. Chatsworth House

Chatsworth House sits in the middle of the Derbyshire countryside. It comes complete with glorious gardens and a grand (you guessed it) house that sits in the middle of the estate. While the dogs aren't allowed in the house or the garden, there are numerous walking trails around Chatsworth House that you can enjoy with your furry friend.

4. Portmeirion Village

Portmeirion Village is a gorgeous place in Wales. Not too far from the England border, it offers stunning sea views in a one-of-a-kind setting that's unrivalled by nearby towns and villages. Alongside the incredible views to be seen, Portmeirion is a versatile place that not only offers great things for the family to see and do, but the dog too.

5. The Norfolk Broads

The Norfolk Broads covers a wide area of the region. But it's vast, beautiful and is considered to be an easily navigated series of rivers and lakes. Alongside all of the water that your dog can paddle around in, the Norfolk Broads consists of many miles of walking routes and foot paths for a wide range of dog walkers with different walking abilities. Not to mention it's not too far away from the traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth.
