You just got engaged! Congratulations! The first thing you need to do now is celebrate the news with your friends and family. But what about after that? When does the work start in terms of planning your wedding? I know what we did when we first got engaged, so I'm here to tell you seven things that you need to do right now after just getting engaged, so let's dive right in:
- Tell people - tell friends and family the happy news
- Celebrate - book parties or meals out to celebrate the happy occasion
- Look after your engagement ring - keep it clean and update your home and contents insurance accordingly
- Think about wedding style - are you traditional or minimalist? Are you religious or not? Think about the style of wedding you want and go from there
- Start wedding planning - go to wedding showcases and fair. Get a feel for what's out there and how much it costs
- Consider a colour scheme - is there a colour scheme you had in mind? Think about the colours that will fit the season you want your wedding to be in
- Find your dress - it's never too early to start thinking about what you're going to wear on the big day, even if you go to get a feel of styles and cost
