10 Places On My Travel Bucket List

While I've been to a fair few cities over the last thirty years, there are still loads of places around the world that I have always wanted to visit, but am yet to do so. In this article, I'll be telling you what the ten places on my bucket list are, from Paris to Montreal. So, what are the ten places on my bucket list? Let's have a look, shall we?

1. Paris, France

Cliche, I know, but I feel like everyone but me has been to Paris. I'd love to go for the history, the architecture, the food, the wine and, of course, Disneyland Paris for good measure. I feel like a few days in Paris, on the Eurostar, would absolutely do the job. I have a feeling that, once you've been, there's no need to go back for a while, unless you wanted to to Disneyland, obviously, haha!

2. Vancouver, Canada

Canada is such a huge place, but one city on my radar is Vancouver. Sitting on the other side of the country from Toronto, it's somewhere that oozes modern style but in an absolutely gorgeous setting. Built by the water and with stunning mountains in the background, it really is unlike any city that I've ever see before, and it would be amazing to see it one day soon.

3. Prague, Czechia

Prague has always been somewhere I have wanted to visit. It looks like a stunning, beautiful city that would be impossible not to enjoy. The historical aspect of it is what draws me in. You're unlikely to find architecture like it anywhere else in the world.

4. Montreal, Canada

Montreal looks like an amazing place, know for its gorgeous architecture and shopping experiences. I'd love to visit one day, even if we just passed through, to take a look at everything it has to offer. Most people who have been say it's worth an overnight stay, just to experience the vibes, the food and the history.

5. Florence, Italy

I've been to Rome and Venice, but somewhere I would love to go in Italy is Florence. It looks like an architecturally gorgeous city, filled with history and beauty. I know that Florence isn't know for tourist hot spots, but it would be a little slice of Italian heaven without the hustle and bustle of Rome. My plan would be to sit in the sun with amazing food and drink, just taking in the ambience of the place.

6. Cornwall, England

Cornwall is always a much talked about place in Britain. I feel like I've been to many coastal towns around the country in my time, but one place I have never been to, that people say I should go to, is Cornwall. With white sandy beaches and turquoise-coloured sea, it looks as though you'd forget that you were actually in England.

7. Toronto, Canada

Toronto looks like a bustling, impressive city. Pictures of it remind me a little bit of San Francisco, with the tall buildings that are different shapes, alongside water in a gorgeous setting. There's so much to see and do in Toronto, including going up the CN tower, which is something I would love to experience one day.

8. Boston, USA

I've been to a fair few cities in the USA, all of which have previously been on my bucket list, like New York, San Francisco, LA, Las Vegas, Memphis, Nashville, Mariposa (to visit Yosemite), Orlando, Tampa and Anaheim (for Disneyland, CA). But one place in the US that I have always wanted to visit is Boston.

My parents went, more than thirty years ago now, and they said that it was a gorgeous city. It reminded them of home, which makes sense in a way given that Boston is considered to be New England. Anyway, you never know what the future might hold! But I would love to go one day.

9. Quebec City, Canada

I have always wanted to visit Canada, but it's such a huge place. Over the last few years, even before I met Tom over ten years ago, I was highlighting cities around Canada that I would love to visit one day. One of those cities in Quebec City, in the Canadian province of - you guessed it - Quebec. It looks like a slice of Europe in the heart of North America. It just oozes historical beauty and European design, all mixed in with the culture of French Canada - what a treat it would be to visit.

10. Vienna, Austria

My brother and sister-in-law have been to Vienna, mainly to experience the Christmas markets. It looked incredible! I've heard that the German Christmas markets can get a bit crowded, and so this is a great alternative for someone who has been to Germany before and would only really go back for the Christmas markets.

As well as that, Vienna looks like an amazing, beautiful city anyway. So even if you didn't go for the Christmas markets, it's still a place where you can enjoy the history and the architecture of a gorgeous place. It's also dubbed "the city of music", so it'll be right up Tom's street either way. He get's the music, I get the markets - it's a win-win!
