Download Festival is an incredibly popular event for most people, with those interested in the rock music scene making it a standout staple in their calendar's every single year. But what if you've never been before and you've decided to attend this year? If you're a novice Download goer, then here are some tips, from someone who's been before, all of which are things that you should know before you go to Download Festival. Let's get stuck in!
- Download your tickets or print them off before you set off on your journey
- Check the weather forecast. You'll be outdoors all day, so make sure you're prepared with rain protection and/or sun protection, just in case
- Bring a battery charging pack with you so you can always be reachable and so that you can contact other people who are either at the festival with you, or at home
- Check which items are prohibited before you go. They will take those banned items off you at the gate, so it's best to just not bring them at all
- Set meeting points with friends or family that you're meeting at the venue before you head off on your journey
- Save the site map and the set times with the stages on there, too. This means you won't miss anything
