A Much-Needed iPhone Upgrade: My New iPhone 12

I know that I'm still two generations behind the latest release, but going from an iPhone 8 to a 12 is kind of a big deal, haha. Not only is the phone itself bigger, more sleek and flawless-looking, but its capabilities are far beyond that of my original iPhone 8. The camera is incredible as well with the quality more crisp and fresh than ever before. I'm really looking forward to capturing some great shots and sharing them all with you along the way!

I went for the white version as I didn't really fancy any of the other colours that were on offer. But I love how the phone itself is a completely different shape from my iPhone 8. Instead of having rounded edges, they're squared off and more "sharp", so to speak (don't worry, they aren't actually sharp, haha). I love how the display fills, almost, the entire screen and that the block edges are almost part of the display as well.

This iPhone also has an upgraded screen with a super retina XDR, OLED display, so the display has never been clearer, or at least in comparison to my iPhone 8. I know that the new iPhones have better displays and higher megapixels, but I'm pretty happy with the iPhone 12 offering a 12 megapixel camera. Aside from that, it also has 2x optical zoom and 5x digital zoom. I can also blur out the backgrounds and focus on foregrounds which is a nice little touch and something that the iPhone 8 cannot do.

Seeing as I'm not really a technology buff, I don't really have anything remotely technical to say about this phone, other than I'm just really excited to have an upgrade and to use the phone for things that I couldn't use my iPhone 8 for. It's also much quicker and the battery life just cannot be compared to that of the iPhone 8. I feel like there's a lot more than I need to discover about the iPhone 12, but I'm just it'll end up being featured on here again in a favourites post, so keep an eye out!
