4 Reasons to Add Slow Mornings to Your Weekend Routine

Adding slow mornings to your weekend routine might sound impossible, or you may even think that it's a complete waste of your time. How much of a difference can a slower-paced weekend morning make? Well, having had a few myself, there are clearly multiple benefits to adding slow mornings to your weekend routine, and I'm on hand to give you a few of the reasons for it.

1. It reduces stress

If you don't have to rush out of bed on a Saturday or Sunday morning, then it helps you to have a more calm and slower day overall. It also allows you more scope to plan out the day without rushing or making off-the-cuff plans.

2. It allows you to reconnect with yourself

Weekdays are often filled with responsibilities, and so, come the weekend, people are often longing for slow mornings and relaxed weekends. Slow weekend mornings enables you to get things done at your own pace, rather than jumping for other people, and that's if you actually want to do anything at all!

3. It makes for productive weekdays

If you've had a restful weekend, taking your time getting up and dressed, then it makes for a more productive week by the time Monday rolls around. You'll feel more relaxed and recharged for the week ahead if you've managed to enjoy some slow weekend mornings.

4. You'll have more time to enjoy the simple things in life

Everything will seem better while you're experiencing a slow weekend morning. You'll be able to delight in your breakfast, rather than wolf it all down in time for 9am. The sunlight hitting your bedroom walls will just hit differently. You'll have more time to enjoy the simple things in life, which is important in a time where the world seems all the more hectic.
