Everything I Loved in April

April has come and gone. How fast have we gone through the first quarter of the year? Absolute madness. Anyway, it's now time to take a look back through the month to see what I've been loving over the last four weeks. Let's get stuck in!

Easter Bank Holiday

Easter Bank Holiday was lovely. We spent a few days getting some errands done, but we hosted Easter Sunday lunch for my mum and dad, my sister, my in-laws and my husband's granddad. So there were loads of us.

But it was something that I actually really enjoyed doing. We did a gammon and a leg of lamb, so there was plenty to go around. We had wine to go along with it so it really was a special occasion that I'd have no problems doing again. It really was a pleasure.

Family time

We spent a lot of time with family this month. We hosted Easter Sunday lunch, alongside seeing family in between that, of course. We also found some time to go to Wales to see my brother, sister-in-law and our gorgeous niece. We had a generally lovely month spending some quality time with everyone, which made us feel incredibly lucky.

Our new SAGE coffee machine

We had a Delonghi automatic coffee machine for years, and although it really was good at its job, and it was easy to use, it did start to deteriorate. It leaked all over our new worktops and started to fill up with water inside the machine itself.

We had always had our eye on a SAGE coffee machine, and we always said that if our Delonghi one should ever fail that we'd cut our losses and just buy a SAGE coffee machine. So the time came for us to get a new coffee machine.

We're in love with it to be honest. Once it's all set up for the beans you want to use, using it really is very simple. I'll be doing a guide on using your SAGE coffee machine soon, but for now, you can read more about our SAGE coffee machine here.

A baby shower

This month saw the celebration of my friend's baby shower. She's due to have twins in June, so it really is very exciting. It also gave us a chance to see her before the babies are born. It was just chilled but fun, with plenty of food and drink and a few games, too.

Ugg Cluggettes

I have always wanted a pair of Ugg slippers. This month, we went to Cheshire Oaks to do a spot of shopping. While we didn't go specifically for these, I didn't realise that they had an Ugg shop, so I had to take a look. Seeing as I had always wanted a pair of Ugg slippers, I took the plunge and bought these. Not bad to say they were only £66! See the blog post about my Ugg slippers here.

My exercise bike

Something I really have loved using this month is my Reebok exercise bike. I bought it as a present to my self for my birthday, as I wanted to be more active, but was getting bored of running and doing exercise videos on YouTube. I've been using it around 3-4 times a week so far, and I'l hoping to up that to 5-6 days a week. You can read more about my exercise bike in this blog post.
