Everything I Loved in September
Soooo September has well and truly disappeared and we're now, somehow, into October. The start of autumn, the season of colour and falling leaves. One thing you'll also notice is that the temperature has dropped (something I've been looking forward to, honestly). But with the end of the month comes another monthly favourites blog post and I'm just going to go ahead and get started :)
Stan Smith Js
I have only recently bought these. In fact, I dedicated an entire blog post to them last month and I'll link that here for you in case you wondered what they looked like brand new. But anyway, I love these because I've been wearing them with absolutely everything and for one simple reason - they go with everything. Whether you're wearing jeans or a dress, these look the part and they're also incredibly comfortable, to say the least.
Maryland cookies
I know snacking isn't the best thing for you, but I'll probably have two of these a day in the afternoon with a coffee while I work. I also run quite a lot (about 20-25km a week) so I feel like I can justify two biscuits a day in that case, haha. Either way, these aren't only tasty but they're filled with nostalgia for me as I used to really enjoy these as a child. If you've never had one before, go and grab a packet because they're DELICIOUS!
Crumpets (some days) & pancakes (other days)
I loved crumpets throughout September, there's just something amazing about them and what's more, they have to be slightly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and dripping with butter. Whether I have one or two in the mornings, they never fail to satisfy my hunger around breakfast time. Actually, I have never known anyone who doesn't love a buttery crumpet in the morning.
The picture of the pancakes featured at the top of this blog post was actually taken in Annie's Burger Shack, located in Nottingham, and they were absolutely delicious. They stuck out in my mind as something I really enjoyed at the end of the month and I just HAD to add them to this post as a reminder of how amazing they were - whatta breakfast that was!
The autumnal weather
If you know me, then you'll understand my love for autumn and the cooler weather. I can't resist a thick, oversized jumper, a pair of snug slippers and a cup of piping hot coffee when it's cold outside. My favourite thing in the world is making myself feel warm and cosy and I get the perfect excuse to do just that when October rolls around. I know during September we had a few hot days, but the majority of the time, the temperature was quite cool. Either way, every time a colder day rolled around, I was all for it!
