A Review: Max Factor 'False Lash Effect' Mascara
I have been on the lookout for a new mascara for a while, so I finally decided on this one from Max Factor as I had heard good things. But I was left, actually, quite disappointed. It's not bad for the first few hours, but it's not something that will last the entire day. It smudges easily and should you sweat, just a little bit, it rubs off onto your under eyes and on the hoods of your eyes as well. Although it's not actually the worst mascara I have ever tried, it's most certainly not the best.
Considering the price, it's not really what I expected from a brand that it seemingly more costly than some of the other high-street makeup brands out there. I wouldn't recommend it if you're wanting to use it for a night out or at the gym, even, if wearing makeup is your thing. I would also steer clear from it during the summer months, when it's hot. During the winter, however, or just for an evening, it's not bad at all. It's just a shame that those results don't last for longer.
In conclusion, it's not a bad product, it's just not one of the better mascaras on the market right now. Again, if you're planning on wearing it for a short amount of time, or when the weather is cold and dry, then you should be good to go. Otherwise, I wouldn't really bother wasting your money with this one.
