Everything I Loved in December
Another month has come and gone, but this one is different. We're not only entering a new month tomorrow, but also a brand new year with a lot of fun things coming up. But before we get onto what 2025 has in store, let's take a look back at what December 2024, the last month of the year, had to offer me, shall we?
The Jack & the Beanstalk Christmas panto at the Nottingham Playhouse
This month, we saw the annual Christmas panto at the Nottingham Playhouse and this year, it was the classic Jack and the Beanstalk. It was an amazing performance involving very talented and experienced people and we loved every second.
If you want to know more about our experience at the pantomime this year, then take a look at this blog post here, which is one I wrote a few weeks ago dedicated to my favourite annual pilgrimage, haha.
A date day with the hubby
This month, Tom and I booked some time off work to spend a bit of downtime together, and part of that was having dinner and drinks at Miller and Carter. I went for the lamb and potatoes with greens and pureed peas and mint, whereas Tom went all out with a sirloin steak and chunky chips. We did have a cheeky pudding to share too, but I was so excited to try it I didn't take a picture of it haha. But it was sticky toffee pudding!
The Christmas tree
Of course, the Christmas tree had to make an appearance here as something I have loved throughout the month of December. We always get a real Nordman fir tree for Christmas, adorned with many Disney ornaments, together with other hanging decorations that we've collected on our travels. Take a look at our 2024 Christmas tree in more detail here, if you want to see it in a way that's a bit more up close and personal ;)
Spending Christmas with my brother
This Christmas was a special one. We spent a few days over Christmas itself in Wales with my brother and his fiancee. It was such a lovely, relaxing few days. It was spent eating amazing food, drinking all of the wine and going for beach walks with my parents' little cockapoo.
She's actually made her way into the header picture for this blog post - isn't she cute?! Anyway, it was the first Christmas in my life where I spent it away from home and it couldn't have gone any better. Here are a couple of pictures from our time there...
Exchanging Christmas gifts with my bestie
We exchanged prezzies this year with my friend and her husband over a carvery - what could be more festive than that?! It was such a lovely afternoon, spent catching up, eating amazing food and just generally enjoying our time with them. It's just something I've loved that happened this December.
My Christmas nails
This is the first year where I've actually had my nails done professionally for Christmas and I absolutely love them. I have done a more detailed blog post on them which you can read here, but aren't they dreamy?! I can't believe I have never had a professional set of gel nails done before at Crimbo!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and that you've also had things that you've loved throughout the month of December and I will see you again...next year! Haha. Happy New Year!!!
