The Festive Favourites I Reach for Every Christmas

Christmas is nearly here and every year, there are some things that I just cannot do Christmas without. Whether it's stocked up in the kitchen cupboards or waiting in my wardrobe ready to reappear, here are all of my festive favourites that I reach for year-after-year during the Christmas season!

Christmassy mugs

I have that many Christmas mugs that I struggle to use them all in a single season. But I think that's because I have my favourites, a lot of which are pictured below for you to see. I won't bother explaining where any of them are from, because it's doubtful that you'll be able to get them any more, as some of them are approaching 15 years old. But it's an absolute essential when it comes to festive favourites over the Christmas season.

My fluffy Christmas blanket & slippers

Keeping up with the cosy theme that Christmas offers, I love using my fluffy blanket and my Christmas slippers when the festive season breaks. You won't see me without them during the celebrations, right up until a few days after the New Year. The other thing I love about these things? They're Disney-themed...of course they are!

Baileys

I don't drink Baileys at any other time of year. It's a traditional Christmas drink for me and I will drink it with anything or on its own. I love to snuggle up of a festive evening and enjoy a shot of it in a hot chocolate or an early evening coffee.

Sometimes, I might just enjoy it on its own in a little glass with a block of ice. You really can't beat Baileys, but you need to get it when it's on offer. We bought a litre of it for a tenner recently. No doubt the deals on Baileys will become even more bargainous, so keep your eyes peeled if you're partial to a creamy tipple at Crimbo.

My Cath Kidston Christmas sweatshirts

These Cath Kidston sweatshirts are old, and I don't think they do them anymore, which is why I cherish them every Christmas. They can be worn as pyjamas in the comfort of your own home or out and about when you're doing your Christmas shopping. They're warm, soft and comfortable, as well as being extremely Christmassy - what more could you want during the festive period? Below is a picture of just one of the sweatshirts I own. I have built up quite the collection over the last few years, though.

A Sainbury's 'Taste the Difference' panatone

The Christmas season is incomplete in our house without a Taste the Difference panatone from Sainsbury's. I love to see which flavours they bring out every year, and this year, we've decided on a chocolate and hazelnut one.

I'm not a huge citrus fan when it comes to pudding and sweet things, which was the other choice available to us at the time this year. But they sell out extremely quickly, especially when they're on offer, so we nabbed one ASAP and it's still sat in our cupboard waiting to be devoured.

All of the lights

I like to put Christmas lights everywhere and on everything. Whether it's on window sills and trees or in the window or on a bed frame, I can guarantee that there will be lights adorning my home in every nook and cranny, because Christmas just wouldn't be the same without some sparkle.
