At Disney's Hollywood Studios, they have an entire section dedicated to Star Wars and within that, they have made an all-working bar called the Oga Cantina. It's so popular with movie fans that you need to make a reservation and, just a heads up, it's incredibly difficult to book.
We tried several times while we were still in the UK, before we headed out there, to make a reservation but to no avail. Eventually, we managed to book a 45 minute slot (which is all you can book) and we had a wonderful time in there.
You're brought in from outside through a sliding door, which looks incredibly authentic, and you're seated, nine times out of ten, in a booth with your party and a few other people. But it's important to note that you might have to stand up during your reservation - it really is just the roll of the dice as to whether you get to take the weight off your feet or not.
Anyway, we managed to sit down and have two rounds of drinks. They aren't exactly cheap to buy. In fact, they're incredibly expensive, but they're super delicious. We decided to try both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks just to see what both sides of the menu were like.
Tom decided to buy a novelty cup with his drink, costing a whopping $45 but for him, it was worth it. This is because you can only get that particular cup in that Cantina at that Disney park, so it's more like a limited edition cup as opposed to a geeky product that can be bought in the gift shops. You'll see a photo of that in due course, don't worry :)
A Jabba Juice & a Yub Nub
The Jabba Juice was the non-alcoholic drink that I chose. Where it didn't come in a funky, collectable cup, it was absolutely delicious and I totally recommend it for those who aren't wanting to fork out for an alcoholic beverage (at nearly $20 a drink). The Jabba Juice, on the other hand, was delectable but cost only $7. It's a great way for everyone to enjoy the bar - even children are welcome!
Tom had a Yub Nub and this can only be bought with the cup. If you do not want the cup, then you cannot have a Yub Nub, which is a shame because it would be nice for everyone to try the content of it without forking out nearly $50 for the privilege.
Jabba Juice - "Simply orange with pineapple, kiwi, cantaloupe and blueberry popping pearls"
Yub Nub - "Malibu pineapple rum, Sailor Jerry spiced rum, citrus juices and passion fruit served in a souvenir Endor mug"
A Blurrgfire & a Jet Juice
The Blurrgfire was surprisingly spicy, to the point where I'm not entirely sure whether I liked it or not. It was completely non-alcoholic but it wasn't until I read the menu afterwards that I realised there was chilli in the drink. Where it gave the drink a bit of a kick to start with, it left my mouth feeling, how shall I put it? Somewhat numb - a strange sensation after an alcohol-free beverage. But what did I expect from a Star Wars Cantina? Nothing is as it seems!
The Jet Juice was a drink that Tom ordered, without the limited edition cup this time, however, haha. This one was alcoholic but was served in a somewhat normal glass in comparison to some of the others that you could have received your drink in! I did try a little bit of this one and it was actually really quite nice to say it should be nursed like a fine whiskey rather than guzzled like a wonderfully-made cocktail.
Blurrgfire - "Minute Maid Premium lemonade, pomegranate juice and habanero-lime"
Jet Juice - "Maker's Mark bourbon, Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur, Stirrings pomegranate liqueur, white grape juice and lemon juice"
