Blogmas Day 21 | Our Christmas Tree Reveal for 2025

Welcome to Blogmas day 21. I'll be publishing a festive blog post every single day on the run up to Christmas, so keep checking back for Christmassy content until the big day. Today, I'm revealing our Christmas tree for the year.

It's a Nordman Fir and around 6ft tall. We bought it from a plant nursery not far from my mum and dad. It was so busy that we couldn't even park in the dedicated car park. We had to park a couple of streets over and carry the tree back to the car!

But we managed to get it back and in the house. I have always had real trees growing up, so when I moved out, I absolutely insisted on having one over an artificial tree. While Tom was sceptical, as he's always had artificial trees, he's now a complete convert.

I'm so pleased that he loves having a real tree as much as I do, because it means we can carry on the tradition. They do take a bit of looking after, but it's so worth it to open the door to the living room in the morning and smell the amazing pine scent. There's no smell like it.

It just reminds me of being a child, digging around a pile of presents under the tree. The pine scent will stay with me forever and it will always bring me back to being a child on Christmas morning, when the magic was still alive. I'm definitely one for a real Christmas tree, so I'll never go back!
