Blogmas Day 4 | 5 Things You Can Buy a Writer for Christmas
I'm back for Blogmas day 4! I'm going to be uploading a blog post every day on the run-up to Christmas, so you'll always be able to check back for some festive content. Today, I'm going to be giving you a few ideas when it comes to buying Christmas presents for the writers in your life. Being a writer myself, these are all things that I would find useful.
1. Notepads, notepads & more notepads
As a writer myself, I'm a sucker for a notepad. While you might think there isn't much use for one in this day and age, I will always find something to put in it. Whether it's recipes and blog post ideas or appointment dates and times and general reminders, a writer will never be able to give up the classic paper and pen, much like how they also won't give up their books for a Kindle.
2. Beautiful pens
I've just touched on the fact that writers will never give up the notepad and pen. So why not gift them a beautiful pen this Christmas to go alongside their gorgeous new notepad? In addition, a beautiful pen can often be refilled with ink, making it the ideal reusable item that can be kept for years to come. Check to see if the pen you're buying will take new cartridges for good measure.
3. Coffee mugs
If there's one thing you need to know about writers, it's that we basically live on coffee. Coffee makes up part of our everyday lifestyle. There's rarely a day that'll go by where I won't have at least one cup of coffee. So when it comes to gifting writers something for Christmas, a solid, quality coffee mug that will withstand constant use is a great Christmas present.
4. Desk accessories
Writers spend a lot of time at their desks, whether writing in a pad or typing on a keyboard. So the right desk accessories are crucial Christmas presents for writers. From mouse pads and keyboard wrist rests to lamps and pen holders, and everything in between, you're bound to find a useful desk accessory that any writer will be grateful to receive this Christmas.
5. Light-up keyboards
Light-up keyboards are every writer's dream. They're fun and quirky and they actually make you want to sit at your computer all day doing what you do best. They're far more interesting to look at than a standard keyboard that's black and generally boring.
