A Review of the 3rd Generation Apple Air Pods
I got a pair of the Apple 3rd Generation Air Pods for my birthday and I've been trying them out now for several months. As such, I wanted to give you a bit of a run down of my thoughts on them. I have quite small ears and so earphones in general don't really stay in my ears, so when I got these I was a bit dubious about whether or not they would actually stay in my ears, and for the most part, they do.
They stay secured in my ear when doing some general movements, but exercise and running etc, there's just no way they'll stay in. So around the house they're great, if I'm cleaning or working, but definitely not if I went out wearing them. I wouldn't dare leave the house with them in in case I lose one down a drain, haha. But that's just me.
If I was just to leave them for indoor use, which I will do, then they're perfect for what I need them for. I can listen to music or watch something on my iPad and be in a different room but still be able to hear it. I don't need to bring my phone or iPad with me everywhere like I did with wired headphones. So in terms of convenience, these are excellent.
Also, despite being so small, the sound quality on these headphones are incredible. They're that good that I never have my devices on full volume because it's just too loud. They're not noise-cancelling, however, so if that's something you're looking for then these aren't for you. But if you just want a set of headphones that have great sound quality without lots of bells of whistles (and wires), then Air Pods are the headphones for you (even though they're really earphones and not headphones, haha).
I can also say that they travel well too. I brought these with me on our honeymoon, taking them on the plane and also moving them from hotel-to-hotel successfully. I never lost one, never misplaced one and I never misplaced the case either, which is also quite small and sleek. They're great in your carry on beg because they're not too heavy and they take up little-to-no room, leaving more space for your laptop, iPad and every devices needed for a long haul flight.
Basically, these Air Pods are perfect if you're fine with in-ear headphones but are looking for the convenience of wire-free listening that gives you exceptional sound quality and are easy to transport, whether you're putting them in your handbag on your way to the office or are taking them half way across the world. I would totally recommend the 3rd generation Apple Air Pods if you're on the fence about making a purchase.
