Minimal Everyday Makeup Routine

You've all been asking for this for quite some time. So here it is. As you can see, the things I have included in this post are very well loved and extremely well used, so it's clear I've been loving these for quite some time and they're in daily use currently.

Collection 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer - 'Fair'

I haven't actually used foundation as a base for quite some time. But as the title says, this is a minimalist makeup routine. I'll pop this on under the eyes and over spots and blemishes to help give the appearance of a clear complexion. Everyone in the blogging world has sung the praises of this product, me being no exception.

Sleek 'Face Form' Contouring & Blush Palette - 'Fair'

I used to use this palette for blusher, contouring and highlighter before I hit pan on all three of them. Now, I just use it for the blusher as I love it so much! The blusher has a sheen to it, so if you don't use highlighter then it's not the end of the world, but it gives a natural glow, I love sleek blushers in general though, so it was inevitable that this one would be no different.

Sleek Face Contour Kit - 'Light'

I have been loving the bronzer in this kit. It's the perfect shade for contouring and the texture is great as well, being matte enough to create the perfect contour. It's so easy to blend and it lasts on the face for a good amount of time as well, which is a bonus. I haven't yet tried the highlighter that comes with this kit as I have been loving a different one, but I'm sure it's just as good as this bronzer.

Revolution 'Vivid' Baked Highlighter - 'Peach Lights'

I have been absolutely loving this highlighter. Whenever I wear it, there is always someone who asks me what it is I have on my cheeks, so when I tell them it's from the drugstore and it also happens to be 33, a look of shock spreads across their face. It's just beautiful, unlike any other drugstore highlighter I have ever used. I sing it's praises even more in my latest current favourites post and I can't see it dropping from the pedal stool I've put it on anytime soon.

Urban Decay 'Naked Heat' Eye Shadow Palette

If you want to see this palette back when it was brand new, then you can read the post I wrote all about it. But for the past few weeks, I have been loving this palette, specifically the shades shown in the photograph above. I've been mixing 'Lumbre', a redish, shimmery shadow, with 'Sauced', a matte orangey shade. I pop 'Lumbre' all over the lid and then blend 'Sauced' into the crease of my eyelid.

If I'm feeling particularly lazy, but want to make it look like I've made the effort to use an eye shadow, I'll use 'Chaser' (right on the far left end of the above photo) all over the lid. It's very natural, but adds some light shimmer to an otherwise boring eye lid which has been covered in concealer. It doesn't look like a very versatile palette, but it really is. Whether you're hitting the town or going to work, this is a good eyeshadow palette to have in your collection.

LancĂ´me Hypnose 'Drama' Mascara

I know I keep plugging my previous blog posts, but I have actually written a full review on three other LancĂ´me mascaras that I've been loving for a long time, well before I bought this one. You can't really see from the image above, but the wand is a bit wiggly which is supposed to be what gives your lashes full body. But be warned, if you don't like a slightly clumpy finish to your mascaras, then you won't like this one. However, I think it's great, it makes my lashes look thick and full and for a while, I have been in love with it. But if you don't like clumpy mascaras, then have a read of the post I wrote about the other three LancĂ´me mascaras (link further up in this paragraph), you may prefer one of those other this one!

Rimmel 'Stay Matte' Liquid Lipstick - 'Pink Blink'

Again, I'm sorry, but I'm going to plug an old blog post here, but I wrote a full review on, not only this lipstick, but the other two shades in my collection as well. But overall I'm really impressed by these, not only are they cheap, but they come in loads of different colours and they're very good quality. The pigmentation is fantastic, they're so easy to apply, not messy in the slightest and dry so quickly. It won't come off, even if you've eaten a whole Sunday roast and a large glass of red wine. Staying power is wonderful and I can't recommend it enough!

If you're on a budget, this would be a matte lipstick to try. This shade I particularly love, as it's so natural, but its also obvious that you made the effort to put some lippy on. It's all I've been wearing on my lips recently and for good reason. Give it a swatch next time you're in Boots, You'll be just as impressed with it as I am.
